About Mama Lucia

I'm Mama Lucia. I was born in Guadalajara and grew up in South Texas, in a house where nothing was wasted and almost everything was made by hand. My mother and grandmother cleaned with vinegar, lemon, and baking soda, cooked from scratch, and never trusted the packaged stuff on store shelves.

Years later, when my husband got sick, I started reading the labels on everything in our home and didn't like what I found. Too many words I couldn't pronounce, in products I'd been buying for decades. So I went back to the way my family always did things: simple ingredients, small habits, real food.
